Does anyone have an old beat-up resonator guitar for sale? I've got an itch to do some slide guitar again. It's Ok if it's in rough shape ..just playable. I need a round neck design..wood body. Can't afford much! Thanks, Walter ![]() |

Try going to the resonator websites. Reso-nation.org is one I hang out on occasionally. They will post classifides there, and you might get lucky. Also look on eBay. |

Walter, I picked up a Liberty Resonator for a very good price on eBay a few years ago. As it is my first and only resonator, I can't really speak to the quality. They are priced pretty reasonable, about $300 for the basic model if that isn't too much. Good luck. |

WalterK, Brad Harper's Reso Nation would probably be the best place as Don mentioned. You will have to register even to view the site. There is a good many cheap resonators to be had such as Regal, Johnson, Flinthill and others, and the round-necks are not nearly as popular as the square-neck so you should be able to get one fairly cheap. I have a Johnson (not for sale though) that has had some modifications and it's a pretty good sounding guitar. |

Musicians Friend: Rogue Classic Spider Resonator #519190 Choose round or square neck $149.99 (might even be free shipping) I doubt it is "good," but I bet it is playable. |

I have found (& bought) 2 beater reso's on eBay. Both 30's one National Trojan and one roundneck Dobro. Both were in the $500 range and needed neck re-set along with other repairs. Both are now incredible players ( I have a list of about 5 people who will buy the Dobro the instant I'm willing to part with it). Keep an eye out, and don't be afraid of some "issues". They're easy to work on and parts are readily available from National, or Beard. Another way to go would be to build a kit. -C |
